KIPP UPrep High School Students Attend Adelante Event

Recently a group of six UPrep students along with Mrs. Sandy Holt and Mr. John Boubel attended the Adelante Awards Dinner where entaintainer Paul Rodriquez served as the special speaker.  The event provided these UPrep students a great opportunity to meet with hispanic college students from all types of college backgrounds.  A hispanic attorney, who was a professor at Trinity University, along with a hispanic businessman sat at the dinner table with the KIPP group and graciously took questions from the students.  In addition these men asked questions about KIPP and were very impressed with the mission of KIPP San Antonio and the mature answers provided by the UPrep students.  Many thanks to Mr. Chris Carmona who serves on the KIPP Finance Committee for providing this wonderful opportunity for these UPrep students.

Job and Scholarship Opportunities at Bill Miller

Bill Miller Bar-B-Q offers tution reimbursment of up to $500 a semester.  Employees must have worked for at least 6 months prior to the end of a semester, worked an average of 20 hours a week and grades must be a "C" or better.
