Daily Schedule

KIPP Camino Academy's school day begins at 7:30 am and concludes at 5:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The school day begins at 7:30am and concludes at 2:30 pm on Wednesdays.  

School Calendar

KIPP Camino Academy has an extended school year. Classes begin in August with two weeks of summer school. During summer school we introduce students to our "culture" and engage in team-building activities and classroom instruction. 

Uniforms

Students are required to wear their KIPP Camino Academy uniform and khaki pants or shorts during regular school hours except for special events. Shirts need to be tucked in and belts must be worn. Only a KIPP Camino sweatshirt may be worn during school hours for additional layering.

College Connections

KIPP Camino students begin their journey down the road to and through college in the 5th grade. We make frequent visits to college campuses in San Antonio and other neighboring cities during the year.

End of Year Trips

Students who achieve the grade and behavior requirements qualify for field lessons every 9 weeks. They also can earn the opportunity to go on our end of the year trips. These trips will be multi-day educational excursions to destinations outside of San Antonio.
