Daily Schedule

KIPP Camino Academy’s school day will start at 7:30 am and conclude at 5:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The school day will start at 7:30 am and conclude at 2:30 pm on Wednesdays. School will also be held on two Saturdays a month from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.

School Calendar

KIPP Camino Academy’s school year will begin in August 2010 with summer school. This introductory summer month will be held on our campus. During summer school we introduce students to our "culture" and engage in team-building activities and classroom instruction. 

Uniforms

Students will be required to wear their KIPP Camino Academy uniform and khaki pants or shorts during regular school hours except for special events. Shirts will be tucked in and belts must be worn. Only a KIPP sweatshirt may be worn during school hours for additional layering.

Service Learning

Part of our mission is to empower our students to rise as socially responsible leaders in their communities. As a result, an essential part of moral development and curricular programming for our students at all grade levels will be service learning.

College Connections

KIPP Camino students will make frequent visits to college campuses in San Antonio and other neighboring cities during the year. We will journey together as we travel down the road to and through college.

End of Year Trips

Students who achieve the grade and behavior requirements will qualify for exciting end of the year trips. These trips will be multi-day educational excursions to destinations outside of San Antonio.
