Athletics Mission Statement

Our athletic program is an integral component of the total educational experience at KIPP Aspire Academy. Student-athletes, coaches, and parents are called upon to work together to create an environment where the KIPP values can be exhibited, tested, and proven relevant both to participants and the entire KIPP community. 

Through the participation in KIPP athletics a student-athlete will learn about industriousness, friendship, loyalty, cooperation, enthusiasm, team spirit, poise, confidence, and competitive greatness, all of which are invaluable in our competitive world.

KIPP Aspire Academy’s student-athletes through their participation in athletics will mature physically, emotionally, and socially. They will become conscious leaders in service and acknowledge their commitment toward fostering a just society.  

Athletics Philosophy

We believe that participation in interscholastic athletics is important to a student’s educational experience. Participation in KIPP athletics is a privilege. Our student athletes carry the responsibility of being ambassadors of the KIPP network, the student body, their family, and themselves.

Our coaches teach our student-athletes how to win, and not just winning. We are modest in victory and gracious in defeat. Our coaches are positive role models who have an expansive knowledge of their sport, an ability to teach, strong leadership, and an interest in developing the whole student-athlete. Our student-athletes are instilled with each one of these values in their experience in KIPP athletics.
